Meet Alan Dobson
Co-Founder
Alan Dobson is an experienced ear care practitioner at Ear Care Dorset, providing professional microsuction ear wax removal, ear health checks and home-visit ear care throughout Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. Known for his calm, friendly approach, Alan offers convenient evening and weekend appointments and is committed to providing neurodiverse-friendly care that helps every patient feel comfortable and supported.
At Ear Care Dorset, I bring nearly 20 years' experience working across health and social care services, including CQC-registered organisations and charitable sectors. I hold specialist training in earwax removal, a Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care Management, a Level 4 qualification in Safeguarding, an enhanced DBS certificate, and extensive training and experience supporting autistic individuals and other people with additional support needs.
I am committed to maintaining the highest standards of care through ongoing professional development and am a member of the British Academy of Audiology (BAA), reflecting my commitment to evidence-based practice, professional standards, and continuous learning within the field of hearing and ear care. Membership helps me stay informed about current best practice and developments within the profession, enabling me to provide clients with safe, up-to-date care. I am also trained in auricular acupuncture using the NADA protocol, supporting a holistic approach to wellbeing.
As a husband, father, and active member of the local community, I am passionate about providing safe, professional, and compassionate ear care that helps people hear comfortably and confidently.
